Days of My Youth is the personal memoir of Charles Napier Hemy who, as a 10 year old boy, travelled from Australia in the 1850's. A true and first hand account, his diary vividly reveals Melbourne upon discovery of gold and the social and living conditions of the early goldfields of both Ballarat and Bendigo.
